Client: Claire Hardie - Horse: Misty
I have been using Louise for almost a year now, she has helped me through last winter with turnout, feeding and muck out duties and throughout the year with exercising my mare Misty.
Misty is a 20 year old full Irish draft who wasn't backed until she was 12, she was used as a brood mare till then, came over from Ireland and who I took on permanent loan 2 years ago when she retired from a trail riding centre.
Misty couldn't really see the point of schooling and my aim of using Louise was just to try and keep Misty fit, but with the patience and skill of Louise she has come on and now seems to enjoy our schooling sessions.
Louise has always been reliable and accommodating and I would recommend her services without hesitation

Client: Pauline McPherson - Horse(s): Multiple Breeds
Louise Cumming has been employed as a groom to care for my three horses for the last 5 months. In that time, she has proven to be thoroughly reliable and professional. Whether mucking out, applying first aid, or riding the horses, she has shown skill and knowledge and always had the horses' interests at heart. Louise has a particular talent for schooling horses and is sensitive to the needs of different breeds and types. Our ponies - a Highland, a Fell and an Arab have all improved in her care. I can thoroughly recommend her .

Client: Carolyn Macdonald - Horse: Corrie Louise has been working for me and 2 friends regularly since October 2007. Initially Louise came on board to help exercise my mare Corrie as I travel a lot at work and wanted to keep her fitness ticking over. I also wanted to focus more on her schooling especially developing her canter. I was also hoping that Louise could help me develop Corrie’s show jumping as she tended to rush at fences (with her eyes closed I think!) At the same time as Louise starting I had just moved to a private yard and come the winter also needed Louise to do some stable work for me. Corrie has developed amazingly since Louise has been riding her. Her paces have really improved and her canter is a million times better than it was. Corrie also has really improved on her jumping as in now much more matter of fact about her approach to a jump and her confidence has really improved. Louise has keys to my stables and rides Corries unsupervised and comes and goes as required. I completely trust her with both my horse and access to the stables. My tack is always left as it was found and her bit is always washed. She leaves a diary for me of what she has done and worked on and how sessions went. I can also use the same diary to write notes back to her which is a great system. Since January Lou has also helped out with all types of stable work, including turn outs, bringing in, feeding and rug changing. She has never let me down (indeed has helped out at very short notice on a number of occasions!) and always does any job to a high standard. On a number of occasions she has pointed things out that she has noticed that need attention and has also fixed electric fencing that horses have walked through and other such ‘above and beyond’ things! Lou is a key member of our horsy team. Without her help I would not be able to stay at my own stables. She is trustworthy and helpful and I really feel she is truly interested in my horses progress. I would not hesitate recommending Louise to anyone. Carolyn Macdonald (and Corrie) July 2008
